DESCRIPTION:Sukkot is a weeklong Jewish holiday that comes five days after Yom Kippur. Sukkot celebrates the gathering of the harvest and commemorates the miraculous protection G‑d provided for the children of Israel when they left Egypt. We celebrate Sukkot by dwelling in a foliage-covered booth (known as a sukkah) and by taking the “Four Kinds” (arba minim)\, four special species of vegetation. \n\n\n\nJoin Chabad Brighton for a service and dinner in the Sukkah this year on The Upper Drive in Hove. DESCRIPTION:It’s The Festival of Sukkos\, which means it’s time for more hands-on fun and Jewish learning. \n\n\n\n\n\nThe “Sukkah City” program\, fun for all. The kids will be the architects for this special model town made completely of mini Sukkahs. The children’s program will begin with a “shopping trip” at the Sukkah Supply Mart for supplies\, then on to the Construction Zone to build their Sukkah\, followed by setting up their model in our own mini Sukkah City. \n\n\n\nWe’re also going to play the “Four Kinds Activity Challenge” where kids will complete challenges to decode a special message\, and create a mega lulov and esrog set! \n\n\n\nEach child will then have the opportunity to present their Sukkah to the crowd\, and take it home along with their Sukkah Mitzvah Mission. \n\n\n\nJoin us in celebrating Sukkos at Chabad with joyful Jewish experiences and memories to last a lifetime. Light Dinner will be served. Ages 2+.

DESCRIPTION:Dear Friends in Grief. \n\n\n\nThe contrast could not have been starker. Friday night\, we danced and sang in our Sukkah\, with so much joy and laughter. \n\n\n\nOn Shabbat morning\, that sense of happiness was cruelly robbed from us as a sense of foreboding began to prevail. However\, we tried our best to be joyous and we sang and danced with the Torah. \n\n\n\nAfter Yomtov then the terrible and painful reality set in. Our hearts are bleeding for those killed\, wounded\, and captured in Israel. Shocked and hurting we turn to the Book of Psalms\, for comfort\, inspiration and salvation from this terrible nightmare. \n\n\n\nPlease join me\, and the rest of our community on Tuesday 10 October at 7.30 pm for a half hour meeting of Prayer\, Mitzvot\, Inspiration and to hear words from MRS. BRURIA EFUNE\, resident of Beer Sheva\, who will describe first hand what is happening in our beloved land.
