Dear Friends in Grief.

The contrast could not have been starker. Friday night, we danced and sang in our Sukkah, with so much joy and laughter.

On Shabbat morning, that sense of happiness was cruelly robbed from us as a sense of foreboding began to prevail. However, we tried our best to be joyous and we sang and danced with the Torah.

After Yomtov then the terrible and painful reality set in. Our hearts are bleeding for those killed, wounded, and captured in Israel. Shocked and hurting we turn to the Book of Psalms, for comfort, inspiration and salvation from this terrible nightmare.

Please join me, and the rest of our community on Tuesday 10 October at 7.30 pm for a half hour meeting of Prayer, Mitzvot, Inspiration and to hear words from MRS. BRURIA EFUNE, resident of Beer Sheva, who will describe first hand what is happening in our beloved land.
