95 Years of Wisdom: Life Lessons from Penina’s Mother’s Remarkable Journey

This week, my sisters and I had the great fortune to take my mum away to celebrate her 95th Birthday KAH ❣️

Leaving Vienna on the Kindertransport, aged 9yrs she never saw her parents again.

Here’s some life lessons she shared with us from her home, that have kept her strong and courageous throughout her life:

  • Look in your own pot: Don’t be jealous of others, enjoy and make the most of what you have
  • Nobody owes you anything: Don’t be a victim and rely on others.
  • In order to succeed: One needs to grasp the world with both hands and make it yield to one’s requirements.’ (Quote from a piece she wrote in 1947, when she was 18yrs old)
  • Her special verse in Psalms is:These go by chariots , and those go with horses , but we go with the Name of Hashem .’ (Psalm 20:8)
